Interventional Endovascular Stroke Rescue and Gamma Knife Services. Join the

StaRN Program (14
Our StaRN Program will provide you with the tools
necessary to succeed in today's hospital environment. It will help you
transition out of the classroom setting and onto the unit by providing the
- 6 weeks classroom, self-study, skills &
- 8 weeks preceptorship
- Certifications: ECG, TeamSTEPPS, BLS/ACLS, CPI
After StaRN, you will
transition into our Professional Development Residency:
- 9 month program factored into a full time
position on the unit
- You will learn Charge Nurse and Preceptor
- You will collaborate with a mentor to complete
an evidence based Capstone Project (4 hours a month)
- Your project has an opportunity to gain
recognition by corporate for further recognition
Information about our Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit:
will work in a 12 private bed unit; rooms include state-of-the-art equipment with cutting-edge technology and the most current advances/changes in healthcare management for the most critical patients
- Our nurse/patient ratio is 1:2
- Our nurse/physician relationship is strong! Neuro physicians want nurses to learn and are enthusiastic to teach!
Graduate nurses must be customer service oriented, able to
learn quickly, and able to manage time and tasks efficiently to be considered
and successful on this unit. Previous med/surg experience would greatly benefit
a nurse graduate coming onto this unit.
Our team of compassionate Registered Nurses consists of a
strong multidisciplinary group who are highly trained within a unit where
certification and continuing education is encouraged and supported!
