The Customer Service Department is currently recruiting for a "CUSTOMER SERVICE SPECIALIST. "
SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Under the direct supervision of the UT Billing/Cust Serv Sup, the Customer Service Specialist assists in the daily operations of the Customer Service Department, Utility Billing, and Collecting process. The Customer Service Specialist is responsible for handling customer questions, complaints, and billing inquiries with the highest degree of courtesy and professionalism and accurately maintaining utility accounts, including cash handling and receipt entry in an occasionally fast-paced and dynamic environment.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• 
  
• High school diploma or equivalent
  
• Must be proficient in the use of computer equipment; cash handling experience; typing skills of 35wpm with a high degree of accuracy; 10 key by touch with accuracy and speed
  
• A minimum of (1) one-year experience in a customer service function providing services and/or information to customers, which involved cash collecting or general bookkeeping
  
• Effective Spanish communication skills are a plus
  
• Class "C" Texas Drivers License.
