Job Description:
The Introduction:
The customer service representative is responsible for providing
effective customer service for all internal and external customers
by using excellent, in-depth knowledge of company products and
programs as well as communicating effectively with team members
within Supply Source.
Here are some of the main job duties in this role:
- Heavy phone and email use to answer customer inquiries and to
accept and process orders and other requests via computer, from our
customers with a high degree of accuracy, efficiency, and
courtesy.
- The ability to establish and maintain good relations with
customers by providing courteous, efficient, and professional
service is a must.
- Provides timely feedback to the company regarding service
failures or customer concerns.
- Processes overflow customer orders/changes/returns according to
established department policies and procedures.
- Assists in providing receptionist and sample department
coverage
- Cross trains with other departments to provide support when
necessary
- Partners with the sales team to meet and exceed customer's
expectations.
- Works closely with the credit department to resolve disputed
credit items.
- Inquire, research, and provide customer feedback on the status
of customer orders, invoices, return authorizations, and other
questions.
- Create return authorizations for items returned or shorted
- Create and expedite "rush" orders (will calls) in a timely
manner
- Assist with price maintenance on supported accounts
- Manage customer backorders in an efficient manner
- Assist customers in completing required documentation regarding
products and company specifications Here are some of the
expectations we would require of you:
- High school diploma or G.E. D. equivalent, College Degree
preferred
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a call center environment or
a similar environment
- Proficient in relevant computer applications; working knowledge
in using Excel
- Excellent data entry and typing skills
- Knowledge of customer service practices and principles
- Superior listening, verbal, and written communication
skills
- Ability to handle stressful situations appropriately Why Should
