Job Description:
Aramark, a leader in food service and facilities management, is
seeking an Executive Chef to oversee the culinary operations at
Longwood University. The Executive Chef will be responsible for
enriching the dining experience of students, faculty, and visitors
by delivering superior food quality and presentation. This role
demands high-level culinary skills, creativity, and a passion for
food education. The ideal candidate will possess a robust knowledge
of various cuisines, impeccable food safety practices, and the
ability to manage and train a diverse kitchen staff. Engaging
closely with clients and customers to gather feedback and adjust
menus accordingly will also be a critical part of the Executive
Chef's duties. Develop and execute menus that cater to the tastes
and dietary needs of the university community, including students,
staff, and university events. Manage kitchen operations, ensuring
compliance with health and safety standards. Supervise, train, and
mentor kitchen staff on culinary techniques and best practices.
Collaborate with nutritionists to ensure meals are nutritious and
aligned with dietary guidelines. Conduct regular quality control
assessments to uphold high standards of food quality and
presentation. Manage food and kitchen operational budgets, ensuring
cost-effectiveness and waste reduction. Engage with students and
staff to collect feedback and adjust culinary offerings based on
needs and preferences. Advanced culinary skills Knowledge of food
