Employing Unit:----Colonial Farm Credit/Administrative office--Position Title:--Human Resources Assistant--Salary Information:--$47,500+commensurate with experience and qualificationsplus superb benefits package provided to all employeesincluding up to 9% 401k contributions and profit sharing program--Position SummaryColonial Farm Credit (www.colonialfarmcredit.com) is an agricultural credit cooperative and provides loans for farms and country homes; land purchase, home construction, or improvements; buildings, machinery, livestock, or equipment; production capital for both full-time and part-time farmers; and ag-related businesses. We have approximately 80 employees and office hours are 8 AM-4:30 PM Monday through Friday.--We have an excellent employment opportunity for a Human Resources Assistant in our Administrative office located in Mechanicsville VA. Under the direction of the Human Resources Administrator, this position:--Job Requisitions and New Hire ProcessingDrafts job requisitions for approval and input/posting in Oracle and various posting sites/boardSchedules interviews to include WebEx invitations when appropriateUpdates applicants on status of process in Oracle throughout interview process and provides all applicants with outcome of job requisitionOrders background reports and saves PDF of completed background reportsRequests reference letters and follows up until receivedDrafts offer letters, position descriptions, total compensation statements, and confidentiality agreements for review by hiring team prior to sending to candidate of choicePayroll ProcessingKnowledge of and adherence to payroll schedule for timely posting of submissionsReviews element changes in Oracle for employee address and bank account changesRuns workflow processed in Oracle and saves workflow reports to designated folder for reviewIdentifies specific payroll cycle adjustments for communicating with Controller and CFO for reconciliationAdministrativeEnsures up to date employment law posters in all officesOrders necessary items for new employees (i.e., business cards, magnetic name tag, and name plate)Updates employee directories and contact listingsAssigns training to employees in learning management system as directed and ensures timely completion of assigned trainingBenefits AdministrationServe as a liaison between Association employees and the AgFirst Farm Credit Bank's benefits departmentAssist employees in the interpretation of benefits coverageCoordinate open enrollment and qualifying event changes for active employeesConduct new employee orientations to ensure employees gain an understanding of benefits plans and enrollment provisionsCounsel employees and potential employees/applicants on plan provisions to assist individuals with making informed benefits decisionsOracle HCM time cards: track missing timecard when needed; ensure use and reporting of holidays; track and send periodical reminders for five-day leave requirement per Association policyPrepares FMLA (Family Medical Leave Act) documents, when needed--Education, Experience, and Requirements (things you need to be successful)Education or experience equivalent to an Associate s degree in business, human resource management, or comparable fieldMinimum of two years of demonstrated professional work experience in human resources field including:HRIS (human resources information system; Oracle HCM system preferred)employee records maintenanceemployment laws and regulationsbenefits administrationIntermediate skills in HRIS system (Oracle HCM preferred) and Microsoft Outlook, Word, and ExcelAbility to maintain confidentialitySuperior attention to detailExceptional interpersonal, communication (written and oral), customer service, and grammatical skillsAbility to work effectively with employees at all levels and interacts with others in a tactful mannerAble to organize and prioritize work in order to efficiently handle multiple assignments and work independently under general supervisionReacts well under pressureAcceptable background reports (credit, criminal, driving, drug screen, and education)--Location: Administrative office, 7104 Mechanicsville Turnpike, Mechanicsville VA 23111--Applications accepted until end of the day Wednesday, September 20, 2023--
