Principal Associate, Talent and Performance Strategy Our Talent
and Performance Management (TM/PM) team is on a mission to bring
our differentiated people vision to our talent solutions and create
a simpler, more empowering and tech-enabled experience for all
associates. We are simultaneously supporting our existing
performance and talent management processes across the enterprise
and delivering on an ambitious innovation agenda. The Culture &
Change team is responsible for ensuring enterprise stakeholders
have the support and resources they need to deliver on our talent
and performance strategy within their organizations. Our goal is to
innovate on our current processes to streamline, simplify, and
increasingly use a tech-enabled approach to drive talent and
business impact. We are looking for a talented human capital expert
who is passionate about driving a tech-enabled future vision of
talent and performance management at Capital One. As a Principal
Associate on the Culture & Change team, you will leverage your
expertise to deliver innovative talent and performance strategies
to support our shared business goals. With an emphasis on
consulting and stakeholder engagement, you’ll support the
implementation of TM/PM products, processes, and practices to help
ensure Capital One has an industry-leading human capital approach
across the associate life-cycle. Our ideal candidate will display a

consulting, and communication competencies, as well as the ability
to work in a dynamic team environment. Key Responsibilities: Work
across teams and stakeholders to play a leading role in the
evolution of talent and performance management at Capital One
Partner closely with LOB HR to define stakeholder needs, identify
opportunities to scale local innovation, and drive impact and
efficiency in our domains Partner closely with partner teams
(Product, Tech, Design, Ops, P&I) to lead change management and
delivery of initiatives and projects with enterprise-wide impact
Identify opportunities within existing talent processes for
automation, tools, and greater efficiency at enterprise scale Build
subject matter expertise across talent and performance domains,
using external and internal research to ground our destination
state in data-backed practices Develop presentations or materials
that can be consumed by a variety of audiences, including senior
leaders Support TM/PM philosophy viewpoints in various forums, such
as trainings and office hours or written Q&A Key Competencies
for Success Execution: Strong organizational skills and
follow-through. You've got an excellent "system" for managing a
full pipeline of work and can support a team in establishing
efficient and effective processes. Partnership: Proactive
stakeholder management with colleagues across Capital One
including: HR, Product, Operations, and others to drive associate
experience improvements and business results. Strategic & Analytic
orientation: Ability to leverage disparate data sources, including
quantitative and qualitative data, to develop summaries and
insights that can inform perspectives and decisions. Business
communication: Impeccable written and oral communication skills,
including strong visualization skills (i.e., able to “tell the
story” and highlight key insights in a clear and concise manner
that is easily understood by stakeholders at all levels). Results
focus: Drives for results and achieves important goals applying
strong organizational skills and detail orientation Analysis:
Identify opportunities for improvement and use data to make
strategic and tactical recommendations Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or military experience At least 3 years of
experience in project, program, process or product management
Preferred Qualifications: At least 2 years of experience as a
Delivery Lead Experience collaborating in a matrixed organization
Impeccable judgment, relationship building skills, and customer
focus Ability to balance the needs of the organization, leaders and
associates to deliver against a robust cross-functional agenda
Ability to identify, analyze, and solve problems and thrive in
ambiguity Passion for learning with a growth mindset At this time,

annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please
note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to
perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the
amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting.
Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed
upon number of hours to be regularly worked. McLean, VA: $108,900 -
$124,300 for Principal HR Associate Plano, TX: $98,900 - $112,900
for Principal HR Associate Richmond, VA: $98,900 - $112,900 for
Principal HR Associate Candidates hired to work in other locations
will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and
the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the
time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer
letter. This role is also eligible to earn performance based
incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or
long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or
