The position is part of a team that provides software development support for an organization that is tasked with dissemination of data to various customers within the Intelligence Community.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Developing, maintaining, and enhancing software systemsWorking individually or as part of a teamReviewing and testing software componentsResolving software problem reportsUtilizing software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environmentBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's degreeAbility to analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements Debug existing software and correct defects Ability to provide recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards Ability to design and code new software or modify existing software to add new features Ability to integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments Ability to develop simple data queries for existing or proposed databases or data repositories Ability to write or review software and system documentation Serve as team lead at the level appropriate to the software development process being used on any particular project Ability to design or implement complex database or data repository interfaces/queries Ability to develop or implement algorithms to meet or exceed system performance and functional standards Ability to assist with developing and executing test procedures for software components Ability to develop software solutions by analyzing system performance standards, confer with users or system engineers; analyze systems flow, data usage and work processes; and investigate problem areas Ability to modify existing software to correct errors, to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance Ability to perform application testingAbility to design, develop and modify software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design Preferred Qualifications:Experience with some or all of the below technologies:JavaC/C++/C#PHPPythonJavaScriptNode.jsAngular JSSQL/MySQLGitAtlassian Tool Suite (JIRA, Confluence)Development of APIs (restful services)Security Clearance Requirements:None - must be able to obtain a TS/SCI w/ FS Poly clearance.Physical Requirements:Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of timeNeeds to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printerThe person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
