The Role:

AssemblyAI is growing quickly, and we're searching for a Software Engineer in Test to join our team. With significant investment and strong leadership to fuel our growth, it's the perfect time to join the AssemblyAI team!

In this role you'll have the opportunity to:

  • Lead AssemblyAI's QA automation efforts. As a member of our dynamic engineering team, you will have the role of leading the design and implementation of our test automation pipelines and providing coverage of our core APIs and customer dashboards.
  • Work on a multi-functional team. As a software engineer in test, you will work on a multi-functional team to support internal teams across all departments within the business. You will work closely with software engineers, customer support, go-to-market, and product managers to help support AssemblyAI's key initiatives.
  • Ensure AssemblyAI delivers high quality products to customers. You will ensure that AssemblyAI delivers high-quality, high performance, speech-to-text and audio intelligence via automated and manual testing.

    • Experience writing code in Python 3
    • Experience writing and triaging automated software tests (e.g., unit-tests, regression tests, functional tests, stress tests)
    • Experience in developing test plans, assessing risk, filing appropriate bugs, and consolidating bug reports
    • Experience in driving development and deployment of relevant testing tools and infrastructure
    • Experience with Pytest
    • B.S. in Computer Science or related field

      Nice to Have:
      • Experience writing test automation for benchmarking ML model accuracy and latency
      • Startup experience

        • Detail-oriented, analytical, and creative problem solver with a passion for quality processes
        • Ability to triage problems, prioritize accordingly, and propose a resolution
        • Ability to work independently, raise issues and take corrective action
        • A keen eye for detail
