Richmond, VA, Hybrid WFH Century Distribution Systems is seeking Business Integration Developers to bring experience in integration development including T-SQL development, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) development. Based on acquired business and data knowledge, you would develop end-to-end integrations with our application databases. An ideal candidate would feel comfortable working on a highly collaborative team, learning and developing in other proprietary applications, and be available to work after-hours and weekend support on a rotating schedule. Requirements:
Responsibilities:

• Develop, test, document and maintain inbound and outbound data integrations using a variety of technologies including but not limited to SQL Server, SSIS and Azure.
• Take steps to continuously improve the security, performance, and quality of Century's integrations via resources at hand or suggesting additional tools or processes
• Review to improve performance of stored procedures and SQL Queries using execution plans and other available resources
• Provide problem-solving expertise and complex analysis of data to develop business integration
• Thoroughly test all work by executing test plans and scenarios including data design, tool design, data extract/transform
• Collaborate with Analysts and Business Users to translate functional specifications into technical designs for implementation and deployment
• Help facilitate major implementations by working on multiple development tasks simultaneously
• Assisting in training new Business Integration developers and maintaining team training materials and documentation
• Strengthen client relationships by effectively communicating with clients to identify needs, collaborate on viable solutions, and increase customer satisfaction
• Understand database concepts as well as the implications of different database designs
• Provide technical support during critical and non-critical business hours
• Monitor business integration process reports for exception events, provide timely resolution to ticketed requests, and take necessary steps to implement changes to reduce future risk Required Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of proven experience in T-SQL Development
  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative team environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills Preferred Qualifications:
    • 1-2 years' experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) development
    • Experience working in Jira Software
    • Experience working in agile teams or an understanding agile methodology Desired Qualifications:
      • Experience with shipping logistics industry or familiarity EDI/Edifact file types
      • Familiarity with file transfer protocols including AS2/FTP/SFTP
      • Experience working with RESTful APIs
