salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market
range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across
the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined
by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and
location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials
and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of
employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits
program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash

Openings1What Is the Opportunity?Travelers is seeking a Software
Engineer I to join our organization as we grow and transform our
Technology landscape. Individual will complete intermediate end to
end engineering tasks for specific system assignments including
developing, analyzing, configuring, testing, debugging,
troubleshooting, documenting, health monitoring/alerting, and
implementing based on user or system design specifications, as well
as participating in troubleshooting, conducting impact analysis and
escalating appropriately.Primary Job Duties & ResponsibilitiesWork
across the stack, use a variety of technologies, like NodeJS, .NET,
C#, React, MuleSoft, AWS Cloud Native services, etcAccelerate our
Amazon Web Services migration journey, and responsible for
utilizing DevSecOps capabilities for continuous integration and
deployment to public cloudWork closely with Team Lead and Solution
Architect to define technical solutions that provide business value
to Travelers' agents and business customers. Continual learning -
In addition to an extensive catalog of technical courses offered by
Travelers, leverage opportunities for hands-on learning and
innovation through pair-programming, innovation sprints, etc.Seek
opportunities to expand technical knowledge and
capabilities.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree or its
equivalent in work experience.One year of programming/development
experience.Education, Work Experience, & KnowledgeThree years of
programming/development experience preferredProficiency in Software
Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologiesExtensive
experience in NodeJS and .Net/C#/VB FrameowrksHands-on experience
in MuleSoft (Anypoint Studio), Amazon Web Services, Web services,
front-end technologies React js, Angular JsHands-on experience
developing web service technologies such as REST, JSONExperience
with relational and non-relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server,
PostgreSQL, Mongo DB, etc.)Experience with public cloud/AWS, such
as EC2, ECS, S3, Lambda, Terraform, etcExperience with writing
automated unit tests (NUnit, Mocha, Jasmine, Jest, etc.)Experience
with CI/CD is preferredExperience working with onshore and offshore
