Job Description Summary
The Enterprise Security Architect works on highly complex projects
that require in-depth domain knowledge or two or more specialized
architecture areas. This role is responsible for driving the secure
design and system development efforts (confidentiality, integrity,
and availability) of product ecosystems and cybersecurity
technology integration and roadmaps. The Sr. Security Architect may
interact w/ functional leaders to support broad technical
initiatives and are expected to mentor or train junior
Architects.
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities:
Provide security architecture leadership and technical design &
architecture guidance across technology product, platforms and
services delivered across GE businesses
Perform threat modeling & architecture risk assessments on related
technology products and platforms
Analyze design and develop a roadmap and implementation plan based
upon a current vs. future state in a cohesive cyber security risk
and architecture viewpoint.
Define enterprise and product security architecture requirements at
both the product and cybersecurity domain level within product
portfolios
Contribute to the secure design & development of service-oriented
capabilities with reusable components that can be orchestrated to
support multiple businesses
Lead the research and evaluation of emerging cybersecurity
technology, industry and market trends to assist in secure product
development and/or operational support capabilities
Drive a continued focus on automation & orchestration and
furthering the integration of Cyber Security & Technology Risk
management into native product development capabilities
Qualification Requirements:
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or STEM Majors (Science,
Technology, Engineering and Math) with minimum years of 8 years of
relevant experience
Experience in core networking and related infrastructure
Experience in cloud-based network infrastructure, software defined
networks (SDWAN, etc.) and hybrid connectivity architectures
Deep domain knowledge of large enterprise and service provider
network infrastructure including remote access, service edge
capabilities, and related technologies
Experience in and strong understanding of network-based threat
detection and response control capabilities (i.e. IPS, IDS,
sensoring, etc.)
Experience in threat models and risk assessments of global,
enterprise-scale technology systems and platforms

Must be willing to travel Desired Characteristics:
Technical Expertise:
Experience in secure network design and solutions architecture
within public cloud (e.g. AWS, Azure, etc.) and platforms (e.g.
IaaS, PaaS, SaaS)
Experience with next-gen, identity-aware network security solutions
(e.g.. layer-7 firewalls NGFW, WAF, SASE, CASB, etc.)
Experience in SecDevOps methodologies and pipeline security
automation technologies (CI/CD Pipeline, SAST, DAST, testing
automation, etc.)
Familiarity with agile-based software development
Working knowledge of risk control frameworks, processes and
associated solution architecture (e.g. NIST 800-53, Cybersecurity
Framework, Zero Trust)
Knowledge and understanding of enterprise architecture & security
architecture frameworks (SABSA, TOGAF, etc.)
Leadership:
Ability to provide leadership, technology guidance and mentor
others throughout security domains
Strong interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on the ability to
effectively influence others
Embraces and drives change by developing and promoting new ideas &
technologies
Strong decision-making capabilities, with a proven ability to weigh
the relative costs and benefits of potential actions and identify
the most appropriate
Focuses actions on customer priorities and advocate for
customer-based outcomes
A team-focused mentality with the proven ability to work
effectively in complex, multi-stakeholder environments
An ability to communicate complex and technical issues to diverse
audiences, orally and in writing form, in an easily-understood,
authoritative, and actionable manner
