• This role is a critical role for an acquisitions service that is key to decisioning card applications. This service determines the offer we make to a customer and is a highly critical service in the ecosystem. You will play a key design and architecture role in shaping the direction of this decisioning service for capital one card
• As a Capital One Software Engineer, you will be leveraging your core coding, engineering and problem solving skills and work alongside a talented set of engineers to deliver a platform to the cloud
• You will utilize, Javascript, AWS, Lambdas, Kafka, DevOps and other cutting edge technologies and patterns
• Collaborate with and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions in full-stack development tools and technologies
• Share your passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies, participating in internal & external technology communities, mentoring other members of the engineering community
• Collaborate with digital product managers, and deliver robust cloud-based solutions that drive powerful experiences to help millions of Americans achieve financial empowermentBasic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • At least 6 years of professional software engineering experience (Internship experience does not apply)
  • At least 2 years of experience using Java for full stack DevelopmentPreferred Qualifications:
    • 3+ years of experience in at least one of the following: JavaScript, node.js, Lambdas, or React
    • 3+ years of experience collaborating with product owners on requirements and deliverables
    • Experience with AWS (Amazon Web Services) for backend engineering
