Location: Washington, DC

SUMMARY:

The Salesforce Developer will be part of a team responsible for implementing technical solutions to organizational business needs spanning donor outreach and solicitation, volunteer recruitment and management, and multichannel marketing, as well as managing processes for data integrity, hygiene, and security.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

? Design, develop, test, document, deploy, and maintain high quality solutions on the Force.com platform

? Code business logic using Apex classes and triggers

? Code user interface using Visualforce & JavaScript

? Code unit tests in Apex

? Use REST and SOAP to integrate with external systems

? Perform debugging and issue resolution with new and existing code

? Coordinate with the Salesforce team to execute solutions, design activities such as data mapping, object modeling, and rule logic definition

? Suggest ideas and participate in brainstorming to improve features, usefulness, and ease of use of Salesforce

? Communicate with other team members and internal users regarding project status, technical issues, and creative solutions

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

? 3+ years? experience in Apex/Visualforce development required

? Salesforce.com Certified Force.com Developer required

? Salesforce.com Certified Force.com Advanced Developer preferred

? Bachelor?s degree in Information Technology or Computer Science preferred

? Experience configuring Salesforce and developing Force.com business applications as part of collaborative team

? Strong technical background and application development experience in building high quality, scalable, and complex enterprise business solutions on Force.com

? Strong software development skills and fundamentals such as knowledge of data structures, object oriented programming, relational database design, and design patterns

? Experience with technologies that work with Salesforce.com including: Java and jscript
