Job Description:

SLAIT Consulting is seeking a Software Scripting Developer (PowerShell) for a contract position with our client in Chester, VA. The qualified candidate will perform technical duties in the scripting and development for interconnects in REST API?s, API design and usage patterns, JAVA and Python primarily. This scripting requirement is heavily based on vCloud setting within VMware. Solution construct, troubleshooting, planning, implementation of internal calls and interfaces. .

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Ability to provide solutions involving servers and applications

• Understanding of multiple operating server system environments

• Solution and implement scripting for enterprise environments

• Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance

Basic Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below

• Requires 3+ years IT experience

• Design and consume Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP) based APIs

• Experience working with Java

• Experience working with PowerShell required

• Experience working with API design and usage patterns.

• Experience working with REST APIs

• Experience working with HTML, CSS, JavaScript

• Experience with VMware vCloud environment

• Candidates must be able to participate in on call duty which will require some evening and weekend work

Preferred Qualifications:

Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration

• Experience working with Relational Databases (SQL, Oracle, etc.)

• Self motivated and directed with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a timely manner

• Experience migrating older server technologies to newer standards

• Must be able to participate in a 24x7 on-call duty rotation
