In this role, you will collaborate closely with the IT Team across the organization to develop comprehensive test plans and ensure the quality and usability of our software products. Environment Microsoft-based infrastructure using primarily Windows desktop OS and Windows Server with Office 365; primarily .Net web and desktop development utilizing Microsoft SQL database back-end and limited use of Azure blob storage; integrations with Microsoft’s Dynamics Navision, D365 systems, UPS WorldShip, ShipWise, and Endicia; Palo Alto security network has been implemented. Duties: Review User Stories Analyze and prioritize the backlog of user stories in Azure DevOps. Understand requirements, acceptance criteria, and business context. Test Case Development Write detailed test cases based on user stores and acceptance criteria, keep edge cases in mind, and document possible issues. Execution of Test Cases Perform manual and automated testing, following the developed test cases to confirm the functionality, performance, and user experience. Log and document any issues identified, with detailed steps on how to reproduce. Regression Testing: Perform regression testing to ensure that new changes haven’t negatively affected existing functionality. Validate features to help produce reliable software that is scalable for the future. Test Automation Develop and maintain automated test scripts using modern frameworks and AI-assisted tools. Implement continuous testing practices within CI/CD pipelines. Documentation Document testing results, including screenshots or logs, and update Azure DevOps with test execution status. Assist in creating training materials associated with deliverables. Quality Leadership Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and methodologies. Mentor junior QA team members and promote best practices. Provide regular updates on testing progress to the project team, participate in daily stand-ups, and raise concerns early. Agile Participation Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives. Education, Experience, Qualifications and Skills: Minimum 5 years of experience in software quality assurance and testing. Proficiency in leveraging AI-powered testing tools for: Test automation & Generation (e.g. Testim, Mabl, Applitools, Functionize), Visual Testing (AI-driven UI/UX validation), Test Data Generation (synthetic data creation and management), Bug Detection & Prediction (predictive analytics for defect identification), Performance Testing (AI-enhanced load and stress testing), API Testing (Intelligent API test generation and validation), Natural Language Test Creation (converting requirements to test cases using AI). Strong experience with test automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar). Proficiency with Azure DevOps for test management, CI/CD integration, and tracking. Experience with API testing tools (Postman, RestAssured, SoapUI). Knowledge of performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar). Understanding of .NET applications and SQL databases for effective testing. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Extremely proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software programs. Extremely organized with great attention to detail. Excellent management skills with the ability to lead, facilitate, motivate, and organize. Ability to adapt to change. Ability to learn quickly and to creatively solve new problems. Ability to negotiate and settle differences quickly and peacefully. Ability to act as a team player and mentor others. Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or related field preferred. Minimum 5 years of related QA experience, including test automation. Experience in Agile/Scrum environments required. ISTQB or similar QA certification a plus. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
