Job Title: Electronic Cable Assembler B Job Code: 33653 Job Location: Norfolk, VA. Schedule: 5/8- Employees work 8 hours per day, 5 days per week Job Description: L3Harris is seeking a cable assembler to join the MPES Services Norfolk team. The assembler will perform standardized or prescribed technical assignments, involving a sequence of related operations on submarine molded cable assemblies and components. Essential Functions: /n - Follows standard work methods on recurring assignments but receives explicit instructions on unfamiliar assignments; technical adequacy of routine work is reviewed on completion; non routine work may also be reviewed in process. /n - Following specific instructions, assembles or constructs simple or standard equipment or parts; may service or repair simple instruments or equipment. /n - Conducts a variety of tests using established methods. /n - Prepares test specimens, adjusts and operates equipment, and records test data, pointing out deviations resulting from equipment malfunction or observational errors. /n - Extracts engineering data from various prescribed but non standardized sources; processes the data following well-defined methods including elementary algebra and geometry; presents the data in prescribed form. /n - Other duties may be assigned to include overtime work to complete production requirements. /n /n Qualifications: /n - High School diploma and 4 years prior related experience. /n - Demonstrated ability to read and interpret cable assembly drawings. /n - Demonstrated ability to read and execute hydrostatic pressure tank procedures. /n - Ability to obtain L3Harris certification to operate forklifts. /n - Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds independently. /n - Must be able to traverse ladders. /n /n L3Harris Technologies is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
