nature and purpose of the job. Overall accountabilities are defined
in this section. Performs as a highly motivated and experienced IAM
Authorization Engineer to support various programs and strategic
initiatives within the company. As an IAM Authorization Engineer,
you will lead the effort to architect and implement modern
authorization and access governance. Responsible to meet KPIs and
KRIs and adapt to changes in the IAM landscape. Success in this
role requires the ability to collaborate at multiple levels of the
security team, the ability to weigh risk against the impact to
business operations, and proven technical cybersecurity and access
management experience for a rapidly growing organization. Core
Responsibilities Lead and coordinate projects for application
security and access management administration of Smithfield’s
SailPoint application. Be a friendly go-to and trusted partner for
other departments. They should look forward to working with you and
come to you for help, guidance, and input. Communicate security
concepts and requirements in a simple and understandable manner.
Design and lead SailPoint IAM processes for risk management and
access provisioning. Identify solutions that can be implemented for
IAM authorization process inefficiencies and problems. Translate
business functional requirements into technical design. Analyze,
lead and coordinate day-to-day application security and access
management administration of Smithfield’s applications. Lead
application security design, implementation, configuration, and
administration across all areas of SailPoint applications as well
as provide production support and project lifecycle support. Ensure
compliance of applications security configuration with
Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX). Respond rapidly and efficiently to
requests. Act as a Subject Matter Expert of application security
concepts and demonstrate full technical competence, including a
demonstrated understanding of data privacy concepts. Document
application security design and administration processes, creating
and updating operational guides, and monitoring existing
operational guides for consistency and completeness. The above

duties as assigned. Qualifications To perform this job
successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential
duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are
representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals to
perform the essential functions . Bachelor’s Degree from an
accredited four-year college or university in Computer Science,
Business, or related field and 5 years relevant experience; or
equivalent combination of education and experience, required. Hands
on experience working directly with business and technology teams
to integrate security into current and new capabilities. Experience
in application security design, implementation, and access
management preferred. Experience leading application security and
access management for SailPoint applications. Experience in
integrating SailPoint application with Workday, ServiceNow, SAP,
Okta and Active Directory systems using APIs. Previous experience
working with Compliance or Auditors to answer questions and provide
evidence. Previous working experience in a food processing or the
meat industry is preferred. Strong knowledge of best practices for
application security design and access management. Strong
leadership and management skills that align with the Smithfield
culture. Specific skills include facilitating change, driving
operational excellence, and striving for continuous improvement.
Demonstrated flexibility, organization, and self-motivation. Proven
ability to work effectively with a lack of information or
requirements. Ability to communicate clearly with all levels of
employees within the organization and external consultants.
Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work
independently in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines,
multiple project deliverables and changing business requirements.
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but will
play a key role in process design, mentoring and guiding less
experienced personnel. Up to 10% travel may be required.
