Job Description:
ManTech, a leader in providing cutting-edge technology solutions
for national security, seeks an experienced Acquisition Logistics
Specialist to support our Defense & Aerospace sector. The candidate
will play a pivotal role in ensuring the effective procurement,
delivery, and lifecycle support of essential systems and components
crucial for mission success. The role demands a meticulous approach
to managing complex logistics processes, coordinating with multiple
stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with federal regulations.
Develop and implement logistics plans that may affect the
production, distribution, and inventory of finished products to
enhance product flow. Assist in the coordination of procurement,
maintenance, and transportation logistics support for program
operations. Analyze and optimize logistical procedures to ensure
cost-efficiency and compliance with government regulations. Review
and update supply chain practices in accordance with new or
changing environmental policies, standards, regulations, or laws.
Select carriers, negotiate contracts, and monitor adherence to
contractual agreements. Prepare reports on logistics performance
measures. Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics
with business systems or processes, such as customer sales, order
management, accounting, or shipping. Strong proficiency in
logistics software or transport management systems. Excellent
analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills. Deep
understanding of the defense acquisition process. Ability to work
independently as well as part of a team. Strong communication and
negotiation skills. DAWIA Certification in Lifecycle [Acquisition]
Logistics Level II, or equivalent Project Management Professional
(PMP) certification is a plus.
