Job Purpose/Role Intern Opportunities at Allianz Worldwide Partners consist of a twelve week program focused on giving students the opportunity to gain business knowledge and experience. Our Internship Program follows a project management methodology that allows each Intern to manage a project within a specific department. We provide Lunch and Learns, networking and mentoring opportunities. Hours are Monday Friday 9:00am 5:00pm Program begins on Monday, June 1, 2020 through Friday, August 7, 2020. Key Responsibilities Recommend changes to current procedures based on market research and new trends Analyze and report on partner revenue and commissions, highlighting key drivers of variance to budget and prior periods Analyze monthly department spending and synthesize trends Provide analytical support to other Departments within the organization (i.e. Market Management and Sales) Month end reporting to be shared with local management and HQ Working closely with BI&A to gain better understanding of data and business tools Support accounting with monthly close Use various software packages (MS Excel, MS Access, Cognos, SAP, BPC) to assemble and manipulate data and generate accurate reports Key Requirements/Skills/Experience Minimum Qualifications: Must be a Junior, Senior, or Master's candidate in college pursuing a degree. Preferred Majors: Statistics, Economics, Finance, or Accounting. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Some IT background would be helpful Ability to adapt to on-going change and work in a fast-paced, deadline intensive environment Excellent communication skills (oral and written) as well as strong interpersonal skills Problem solving skills with the ability to develop creative solutions Ability to learn and apply new concepts and reporting procedures Ability to work independently and collaborate as needed with team and other departments Ability to apply feedback, take initiative and be accountable for work produced PC Skills: Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook Additional Information Allianz is the home for those who dare a supportive place where you can take the initiative to grow and to actively strengthen our global leadership position.
