HCA StaRN OR Nurse Residency Program
StaRN stands for Specialty Training Apprenticeship for
Registered Nurses. This is a full-time, paid and benefited career
choice that is designed to enhance your nursing skillsets and
knowledge while simultaneously promoting your professional growth
and development in the Operating Room.
22 Week Orientation:
10 weeks in classroom setting to include a combination of
self-study, OR skills days, facility clinical days with looping
assignments, AORN Perioperative 101 Core Curriculum, & ECG,
TeamStepps and BLS/ACLS certifications
12 weeks of preceptorship with a designated and trained
For on-call purposes, applicants must live within 30 minutes of
the facility to be considered.

You will work on our 19-bed OR that includes an intraoperative

cardiothoracic, comprehensive breast surgery, kidney transplants,
colorectal, general gynecology and gynecological oncology, urology
and uro-gynecological, otolaryngology, and general surgeries
