This position is involved in the complete software development life cycle and is responsible for ensuring that software meets CarMax - quality standards. This position is a key contributor in the software development life-cycle, performing analysis and design, development, and working to achieve project goals. The responsibilities of this position revolve around ownership of assigned programming tasks and software development projects. This includes ensuring that application development efforts consistently meet business requirements, direction, and standards and may include coordinating the tasks of others.WHAT YOU WILL DO:Communicate regularly both orally and in writing at various levels to include management, and other engineers and developersFocus on developing, implementing, and operationalizing cloud solutions that are highly available and resilientPerform configuration, troubleshooting, and ongoing management of various cloud technologiesBuild infrastructure, networks, and systems for scalability, resiliency, availability, and recovery through infrastructure-as-codeYou will stay on top of industry trends and best practices to continually improve what we do, how we do it, and ensure we are delivering quickly with quality.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Technical experience in infrastructure design, build and deploymentDemonstrable experience with Azure cloud capabilities including but not limited to storage, key vaults, virtual networking, virtual machines, and automated deploymentsDemonstrable experience with software development preferably with one or more of Ansible, PowerShell, Python, C#Demonstrable experience building and deploying resilient Azure cloud architecturesDemonstrable experience creating and managing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Team City or Azure DevOpsDemonstrable experience supporting Windows or Linux OSStrong attention to detail, problem investigation, and diagnostic skillsStrong sense of ownership, customer service, and integrity demonstrated through clear communication and positive actionPassion for eliminating repetitive manual process using automationSelf-starter and Self-learnerQUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:2+ years of working in and building infrastructure within a MS Azure cloud platform2+ years of scripting or coding experience with one or more languages4+ years of relevant IT experience in large / complex IT architecture environments4 year degree in IT related course of study or equivalent experienceAbout CarMaxCarMax disrupted the auto industry by delivering the honest, transparent and high-integrity experience customers want and deserve.
