Driver AssociateRichmond, VASummary:A Customer Delivery Driver for Capital Electric is responsible for checking and loading material onto truck, delivering material to customer or Capital Electric branch in a timely professional manner, and forming positive customer relationships to ensure the correct material reaches the customer while maintaining the reputation of providing a reliable and accountable delivery serviceResponsibilities:--- Check material in staging area and load truck--- Create shipping manifests--- Perform truck maintenance inspections--- Deliver material to customers and/or Capital Electric branch locations--- Drive truck defensively, cautiously, and respectfully to various locations--- Unload and place material where customer requests--- Provide good customer service--- Pick-up customer returns--- Unload truck of customer returns--- Follow verbal and written instructions with minimal supervision--- Be on time and work diligently with co-workers--- Multi-task and continually prioritize tasks to be completed throughout the day--- Other duties as requiredMinimum Qualifications:--- 2 years driving experience - tractor-trailer or flatbed preferred--- No prior traffic violations or license suspensions for one year--- Able to lift up to 50 lbs. on regular basis; up to 70 lbs. occasionally--- Reliable, responsible, and a great work ethicJob Requirements:We offer excellent training, career advancement opportunities, and a competitive compensation package to include vacation time, personal time, full health benefits, 401(k) and more.
