programs.Role OverviewAnkura's Data Privacy practice within Data &
Technology is currently seeking a Data Privacy Solution Architect
to join the team. The Solution Architect will work in a
collaborative team environment that spans across Ankura's
multidisciplinary areas of expertise. Ankura invests in its people
through training, mentorship, and performance feedback to provide
continuous development opportunities. Ankura is focused on hiring
candidates who will serve as the foundation of a growing firm
dedicated to its people, culture, and delivering the highest
quality service to clients.
- This role is remote and can be located anywhere in the United
States.ResponsibilitiesThe Data Privacy Solution Architect will
engage with Ankura clients who require technical assistance with a
variety of the solutions we implement in support of their privacy
programs. Depending on the project, he/she may:
- Define functional and technical requirements for privacy
solutions
- Create and review consistent and thorough documentation
including functional requirement documents, technical
requirement/design documents and process flow diagrams
- Serve as the "technical expert" on Ankura project teams,
complementing others with deep expertise in emerging privacy
regulations, information governance and other domains driven by
regulatory compliance requirements
- Contribute to and/or lead technology demos as part of helping
clients or prospective clients to evaluate solution options
- Design and implement integrations between core privacy systems
such as OneTrust, TrustArc or Wirewheel and various other systems
in support of fulfilling data subject requests, managing user
preferences, etc.
- Develop APIs or other technical solutions for sharing data
and/or integrating systems
- Guide clients with respect to "Privacy by Design" techniques
and practices which they can integrate into their ongoing
development practices
- Implement automated tools such as ActiveNav, BigID or Varonis
used for data scanning/identification, including configuration
suited to the client's needs
- Lead the day-to-day activities of engagements including
interaction with other team members, subject matter experts, and
client contacts
- Actively participate in internal and external team meetings
including client assessments, presentations and status
meetings
- Contribute to the growth and development of junior team members
through trainings, informal mentorship, recruiting efforts, and
culture buildingRequired Qualifications
- Bachelors' degree or equivalent experience
- 5-10+ years of experience functioning as a senior developer or
architect, including the guidance of technical work being done by
other team members
- Willingness and ability to learn new technologies quickly and
determine strategies for how best to implement/integrate them into
a solution
- Prior consulting experience, preferably with a "big 4" or other
sizeable company
- Ability to discuss in-depth technical topics with clients as
needed
- Comfort with presenting to and speaking with executives, legal
and compliance stakeholders and others, conveying technical topics
as needed in layman's terms
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively across
multiple simultaneous projects
- Prior experience or interest in developing junior team
members
- Willingness and flexibility to travel as required, though our
projects don't usually require heavy travelPreferred Qualifications
- Prior experience related to data privacy or other
compliance-driven domains (must have an interest in learning data
privacy at minimum)
- Certified Information Privacy Technologist (CIPT) certification
(or willingness to purse such certification)
- Project management experience including understanding of
project life cycles and methodologies
