Job Description:

PRIMARY DUTIES

  • Liaison between IAS and VFB IS department with shared systems
  • Resolves discrepancies between agency management system and brokerage partner data, submits support tickets for agency management system issues
  • Understands Comm2 and can assist producers, managers, sales executives with all questions related to brokerage data within the Comm2 system
  • Review and oversee the IAS agency management system, Nexsure, to ensure data integrity; this includes policy downloads import and processing correctly; brokerage partner data; current employee field personnel (producers) and internal personnel data is kept accurate
  • Provides technical support to Agents and MSS(s) for brokerage partner websites
  • Manage complex projects that require multilevel communication with various parties such as field sales personnel, brokerage partners, and system vendors
  • Performs accounting duties, client/policy system downloads and updates, and works with the IAS operations team to complete the brokerage monthly commission process by established deadlines
  • Responsible for providing day-to-day support to brokering staff to exceed department and corporate goals relating to underwriting profit, renewal retention, growth, customer service, and agent relations
  • Provide knowledgeable assistance to support IAS Marketing Specialists in meeting our IAS turnaround times with email response and phone calls to internal and external customers, brokerage partners, and Insureds
  • Strong ability to maintain positive attitude, provide a high level of customer service, and keep a calm, respectful demeanor in all types of situations and forms of communication
  • Experience with hosting and attending critical meetings, industry conferences, and systems user group collaborative sessions
  • Ability to provide business analysis related to workflows, IAS systems, forms, product lines, and all other materials IAS uses to complete tasks so as to provide qualitative and quantitative measurements of service standards
  • Create workflow documents, job aids, and other process materials to improve task execution IAS projects, daily tasks, and IAS brokerage help file
  • Provide accurate broker data by executing appropriate queries, designing & generating data reports and handling special databases
  • Conduct training classes for IAS, or VFB staff, both in person and via online videos, webinars, or social media platforms
  • Collaborate with various levels of management within VFB and/or system vendors relating to projects that affect IAS workflows, IAS systems, or insurance industry standards IAS follows
  • Experience with P&C products competitive raters, preferably Applied Rater or similar platform
  • Experience working with PL, CL, and E&S brokerage partners
  • Ability to meet travel requirements of this job
  • Provides back-up to team including Agency Operations Manager as needed
    ADDITIONAL DUTIES

      MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
      • Property & Casualty license required; Minimum 6 years of brokering support experience with proven success working effectively with agents/brokers
      • Ability to work in a highly automated, paperless environment, including specialized software packages
        MINIMUM SKILL QUALIFICATIONS
        • Ability to understand and communicate both orally and in written correspondence
        • Accountable for maintaining confidential information
        • Knowledge of insurance markets and insurance rating procedures
        • Must be able to understand and analyze all components of insurance policies and interpret abstract information
        • Strong MS Office skills with an emphasis in Excel spreadsheets
        • High level of initiative, highly organized, excellent attention to detail
        • Ability to prioritize important and pressing tasks and make independent decisions per IAS guidelines with minimal supervision
        • Excellent interpersonal skills and flexibility with activities as assigned in a team environment
        • Ability to work extended hours when deemed appropriate or request
        • Multi-Tasking in a high paced environment with high volume and high stress with a sense of urgency
          PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
          • Four-year degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or Accounting
          • Insurance experience with excess and surplus lines
          • P&C licensed (6 years minimum)
          • Experience with managing Agency Management System, specifically Nexsure Management System
          • 6+ years working in a wholesaler and/or large retail agency or specialty insurance carrier
          • Experience with P&C products competitive raters, preferably Applied Rater
          • Working with various Commissions Systems
