Position Description

The Brandermill Community Association has openings for Full-Time and Part-Time Lifeguards to work flexible hours throughout the summer, which include morning, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts at our 3 pools. (North Beach Pool, St. Ledger's Pool and Harbour Pointe Pool)

The professionalism, maturity, and commitment level of each lifeguard is critical to our success. We are looking for responsible, dependable, hardworking individuals to fill these positions.

Responsibilities:

• - To help ensure a safe, clean and enjoyable swimming environment.
• - Effectively monitor the pool area to prevent injuries and provide care as necessary.
• - Successfully check-in and out pool members and operate CellBadge/guest pass process daily.
• - Successfully complete, check off opening, daily, and closing duties by initialing by each lifeguard duty.
• - Carry out rescues and initiate other emergency actions as necessary by using certified lifeguard techniques and contact emergency medical personnel in case of serious injury.
• - Maintain quality of pool by testing chemical levels hourly.
• - Maintain sanitary conditions of all other facilities within the pool area including bathrooms and pool deck.
• - Notify and communicate daily with Parks and Recreation Manager with any pool issues, membership issues or any other issue that may arise.
• - Perform other work as assigned by management or Pool Manager on Duty to ensure the safety and cleanliness of the pool facility.
• - ***Lifeguards are required to attend at least one in-service meeting to strengthen their lifeguarding skills.Qualifications:
  • - Must have a American Red Cross or YMCA Lifeguarding Certification.
  • - Must be at least 16 years of age
  • - Must have reliable transportation.
  • - Must be dependable, punctual, and motivated.
