Here, you can work with others who share common values, and use your skills to help extend care to all of our communities.Current student at School of Radiologic Sciences.Work responsibilities include, patient preparation for exams, assist CT tech in procedures, and cover transportation and receptionist needs.PRIMARY FUNCTION/GENERAL PURPOSE OF POSITION:The primary responsibility of this position is to perform simple technical procedures and to apply ionizing radiation for a radiological diagnosis under the supervision of a technologist. Also, the position includes receptionist, file clerk and transporting responsibilities.EMPLOYMENT QUALIFICATIONS:1. Requires a high school level of knowledge in order to utilize a computer (CRT), filing systems and to effectively communicate with people2. Acquires knowledge through on-the-job training and structured classes in the School of Radiologic Sciences3. Work requires ability to process order/request slips and handle varied clerical details, including computer entry skillsESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:1. Positions and handles patients with a high degree of safety and professionalism2. Controls a variety of complex equipment to apply ionizing radiation for radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations in the senior year only3. Receives and distributes order/request slips for patient procedures, providing correct x-ray film jacket numbers and typing this information on those requests via computer entry skills4. Pulls and delivers film files to designated areas of the Hospital in a timely manner5. Files patient reports in film jackets in an accurate and timely manner, returning files to storage when all x-rays are complete6.
