Richmond Behavioral Health Authority is hiring for a Lead Clinician
to support our CReST Team. The CReST Lead Clinician will assist
with day-to-day operations of CReST clinicians, maintain a reduced
caseload of youth in crisis, and have case assignment
responsibilities to their team. Perform difficult clinical work
such as providing direct clinical service involving intake,
assessing client needs, developing treatment plans, providing
prevention services, managing cases, providing therapy, maintaining
records and files, preparing reports, and related work as apparent
or assigned. Work is performed under the general direction of the
assigned supervisor. Supervision is exercised over subordinate
personnel.
Essential Functions
Provides and maintains communication and acts as a lead contact for
communications from assigned State and Private Facilities regarding
admission and discharge of clients
Performs intakes, client assessments and diagnostic interviews;
conducts mental health assessment and monitors level of
functioning.
Provides crisis intervention and prevention services to individuals
and families; develops crisis response plans; provides consultation
and education to staff and clients.
Will rotate with other CReST leadership staff as Administrator on
Duty for CReST Triage Line and Immediate Response during overnight
periods.
Monitors clinical and medical records and practices for compliance
with regulatory, reimbursement and agency standards; reviews
documentation for accuracy; reviews and signs paperwork of case
managers.
Interfaces with other service providers and client support
system.
Facilitates monthly meetings to discuss client concerns or changes;
consults with teams and committees in the planning and development
of treatment and discharge plans.
Serves as a representative at interdisciplinary treatment team
meetings and clinical staffings/case consultations; attends other
meetings as required.
Represents clients and Authority in court and legal proceedings
Prepares various reports and case related correspondence.
Attends professional conferences and trainings as required.
Position Requirements
Education and Experience
Graduation from an accredited college/university with a Master's
Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or closely related
field;
Current Virginia license as an LCSW, LPC, or LCP, or
License-Eligible/License-Eligible
Experience in a behavioral healthcare setting, children's mental
health and/or emergency services preferred;
Basic knowledge of ES, MH, ID/DD, and SUD treatment services, as
well as the CSB/BHA system and structure.
Qualifying staff will be eligible for a $4K sign-on bonus as
defined by the terms and conditions of the approved sign-on bonus
policy.
Special Requirements
Valid driver's license in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Current Virginia license as an LCSW, LPC, LCP, or
License-Eligible/License-Eligible within 90 days of hire
Clinic and community-based work required.
Travel required; must possess valid driver's license.

Starting Salary Range
$59,488.58
