Receivable/Collections Specialist is under the direct supervision
and direction of the Collections Manager. The Accounts Receivable
and Collection Specialist is a member of the Accounting office
staff who is responsible for assigned patient account collection
duties.ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Completes Medicaid/MCO and
third-party electronic/paper billing timely and accurately, in
accordance with state/payer rules and regulationsMonitor claim
statusResearch claim rejections and denialsSubmit claim adjustments
through EMR or paper claimsResolve issues associated with
incomplete claims including follow-up of non-transmitted
claimsAttach required documentation for manual claim
submissionsComplete account and contractual adjustments as
necessaryIdentify problem accounts as escalate as appropriateOther
duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS FOR THIS POSITION:High school
diploma or GED requiredAccounts Receivable/Collections experience
required, preferably 3+ yearsExperience in Home-Health Medicaid and
Veterans Administration collections preferredExcellent customer
service skillsAbility to work effectively in a team environment
with a positive, proactive demeanorStrong analytical and
problem-solving skillsOrganized and detail-orientedStrong Microsoft
Excel skillsExperience working with eRSP, AlayaCare, and/or Waystar
