energetic and mechanically inclined person to join us as an
Apprentice Service Technician.
Under the guidance of a seasoned service technician trainer, we
will train you over the course of our nine-month program to assume
the service technician role.

The Apprentice Service Technician trains under the supervision of a
Service Trainer, learning to install, maintain, and service all
customer and company propane equipment in a safe manner while
providing excellent customer service. The Apprentice Service
Technician will learn to drive a service truck with a crane and
boom attached, in order to deliver, install, and remove tanks of
various sizes at customer locations. The Apprentice Service Tech
will be trained to complete field repairs of tank valves and seals
and to find and repair leaks at customer sites.
Education and Experience Required:
--- Mechanical aptitude, experience or training required
--- One to two years' work experience preferred
--- Commercial Driver's License is required, either upon hire or
within the first nine months of employment
Successful applicants shall be required to pass a pre-employment
drug screen as a condition of employment, and if hired, shall be
subject to substance abuse testing in accordance with AmeriGas
policies. As a federal contractor that engages in safety-sensitive
work, AmeriGas cannot permit employees in certain positions to use
medical marijuana, even if prescribed by an authorized physician.
Similarly, applicants for such positions who are actively using
medical marijuana may be denied hire on that basis.
