Role Summary:

Evaluates data, analyzes, problem solves, makes recommendations for increased efficiency/service/customer satisfaction and the business results. Applies knowledge, good judgment and decision-making, anticipates, clarifies, understands, defines, makes recommendations and implements with positive results involving the control and maximum utilization of container equipment. Requires close coordination with the needs of the sales units, other operations functions, and higher-level container flow management whose task is the strategic deployment and positioning of available equipment throughout North America. It is essential that this function provides support to the Supervisor and Manager of the department, as well as Yield Management, Execution Marketing, Inland Operation, and Procurement. The primary focus of the position is to research and analyze trends in container supply and demand as well as assist with the efficient and timely arrangement of container equipment at coasts and Inland Points throughout North America without the excess cost of large inventories or empty repositioning cost.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Interact daily with Local/Regional Equipment and Execution Marketing
• Daily container market research to achieve match-back strategy within North America Region
• Proactively get involved in resolving system related issues concerning EQC
• Assist in effective problem solving of EQC issues

    • Proficiency in MS applications: Excel, Word, and Access
    • General knowledge of EQC and Intermodal operations
      
      Required Minimum Years Experience:
      
      2+ years of industry experience (preferably in OPS or Domestic)
      
      Required Minimum Education:
      
      Bachelor's degree preferred
