Genesis10 is seeking a Field Technician for our client that are
Full time Temporary positions (12-18 months)ideally - based out of
the Richmond, VA area to support a new modernization effort for
their service locations throughout the state of Virginia.
DescriptionAs a Field Technician in the ID Systems group at our
CLIENT. You will be part of a very dynamic team of highly qualified
professionals tasked to plan, design, develop, deliver, and
maintain and support turnkey solutions for our government customers
throughout North America. CLIENT' is an organization that is

way!Responsibilities You'll be responsible for the installation and
support of the front-end hardware supplied by CLIENT at DMV offices
across the state. More specifically, you will:
- Travel to DMV office for hardware installation
- Install CLIENT supplied camera stands and any other peripherals
at DMV offices and connect the camera with the DMV supplied
PCs
- Calibrate camera to ensure image quality is acceptable (based
on the predetermined criteria)
- Perform test to ensure hardware is working well
- Train DMV operators on how to use the camera and other
peripherals
- Train DMV operators on how to trouble shoot / replace camera
stand and other peripherals
- Oversee the operation of newly installed hardware before
leaving the DMV office
- Provide phone support to DMV offices when they need help,
eventually providing on-site support when required
- Repair faulty hardware as required SkillsSuccess in this
position will require a diversifiedset of skills, attained either
through education or relevant work experience.Beneficial technical

- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have
basic understanding of computer systems and peripherals. Prior
knowledge of working with camera / flashes and other computer
peripherals is definite plus
- While performing the duties of this job, the IT Support
Technician is frequently required to sit and talk or hear. They are
occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle
or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop,
kneel, crouch or crawl. The IT Support Technician must be able to
lift, push, pull and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally. Specific
vision abilities required by this job include close vision,
distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception
and ability to adjust focus
- The IT Support Technician must be able to travel to all
customer locations on a consistent basis with regular access to a
personal vehicle to properly perform all the functions of the
position
- Able to disassemble and assemble camera / flash units to
replace parts and repair faulty hardware
- Good working knowledge in the following:
- Desktop PCs and laptops
- Camera & Flash
- POS peripherals: Scanners and Credit Card Terminals
- Microsoft Office 365
- Windows 10 Pro
- Must be flexible and be able to help with after-hours
support
- Outstanding customer service skills and experience with problem
resolution
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and follow-through to
effectively manage workflow Mandatory Requirements
- Must be fluent inEnglish
- Ability to be on-call (weekdays off working hours &
weekends/holidays on rotation)
- The ability to obtain and maintain Virginia Government Security
clearance
- The ability to travel within the state of VirginiaIf you are a
