Virginia Majority (NVM) is seeking a full-time Housing Policy
Research Analyst to join our growing policy team. The Housing
Policy Research Analyst will synthesize existing research, conduct
original research to identify equitable housing public policy
solutions that center the needs of low-income families and tenants,
communities of color, and immigrant communities in the Commonwealth
of Virginia, and help advance the organization's. - -About New

to apply.Job ResponsibilitiesThe Housing Policy Research Analyst,
who will be based in our Richmond office and reports to our policy
director, is responsible for the following:
Assisting with policy analysis, issue
briefs, and blog posts that include findings, policy
recommendations, and practical action steps at an individual and
systems level.Developing resources and materials to support
analysis of proposals and arguments regarding New Virginia
Majority's housing policy priorities.Monitoring local and state
policy developments, key committees, and relevant administrative
and regulatory actions.Monitoring, analyzing, tracking, and
lobbying on legislation and budget priorities during Virginia's
General Assembly sessions.Collaborating with NVM staff,, to develop
materials to support issue campaigns, conduct literature reviews,
prepare presentations, and write policy research
reports.QualificationsWe are seeking candidates who are committed
to NVM's mission of social, racial, and economic justice, excel in
building relationships internally and externally, and are
passionate about housing policy and improving the lives of
low-income families and tenants, communities of color, and
immigrant communities. You should have:
A track record of developing and
maintaining strong working relationships with and among a diverse
group of stakeholders. Our organization and many of our partners
represent marginalized communities, such as people of color,
low-income families, and immigrants.Experience successfully
managing multiple projects, meeting deadlines, working under
pressure, and adapting to changing circumstances.Experience working
independently and as a part of a team (including with remote
staff)Excellent communication skills, demonstrating
professionalism, courtesy, and respect to a variety of
audiences.Knowledge of housing policy issues and prior experience
in a legislative environment are both plusses but are not
requirements.Compensation and BenefitsThis position is full-time
and is based in our Richmond office. The salary range is
$45,000-$55,000, commensurate with experience. New Virginia
Majority provides excellent benefits, including health, vision, and
dental, and monthly phone and transportation allowances.How to
