What You Will Do:



  • Guidehouse is looking for a Senior Consultant with technical experience to provide business and systems analysis on state and local government technology projects. The Consultant will lead and support assessment activities on technology solutions which may include platforms such as Salesforce and ServiceNow, custom implementations, COTS or transfer systems, and legacy system replacements. The Consultant must be a strong written and oral communicator and be comfortable interacting with clients and will serving as a trusted advisor to senior government leadership. This position will support current and new projects in phases of the software development life cycle such as planning, analysis, procurement, requirements, design, testing and implementation efforts of technology projects. Additionally, projects may utilize a range of methodologies such as agile, waterfall or hybrid models. As such, the Consultant must be knowledgeable and practiced in a broad range of information technology processes. The role includes business development responsibilities such as supporting proposal development, RFx responses, opportunity pipeline development and professional networking.


  • Lead, define, and execute multiple tasks within a workstream as part of a larger effort including baseline assessments and secondary research, stakeholder interviews, business modeling and analysis, hypothesizing solution frameworks, and synthesizing multiple inputs into coherent insights.


  • Produce technical deliverables through all phases of the SDLC (requirements, business analyses, data-flow diagrams, data models, design);


  • Make recommendations for improvement of processes based on observations, industry standards, and best practices


  • Develop and maintain working relationships with clients at all levels


  • Identify and escalate technical, client service, or risk issues so that project remains on schedule and within budget


  • Set priorities and organize tasks for self and team


  • Support business development by identifying new opportunities and assisting with proposal development


    What You Will Need:


    • Bachelor's degree in Comp Science or related field from an accredited college/university


    • 4+ years of experience with implementation, operations, or maintenance of a large technology projects


    • 4+ years of experience with various phases of the Software Development Lifecycle, including system analysis, design, and documentation


    • 4+ years of overall IT industry experience


    • 2+ years of ServiceNow experience


    • Demonstrates knowledge and/or a proven record of success in key facets of state and local government,


    • Demonstrates knowledge and/or a proven record of success in core management consulting skills and the ability to support clients through solution development


    • Experience supporting large scale projects using Agile, hybrid and waterfall delivery methodology

        The annual salary range for this position is $64,000.00-$128,100.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
