An international agricultural products and services company, we handle agricultural commodities and have a diverse portfolio of products and businesses.SummaryPerdue AgriBusiness hasan exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Mechanicat our facilitylocated in Cofield, NC.This position is responsible for performing assigned maintenance duties within scope of classification to include equipment repairs, preventative maintenance, emergency breakdown, and equipment failure..Perdue AgriBusiness offers competitive wages and benefit packages to full-time, regular positions.Principal and Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesPerform routine preventative maintenance on mechanical equipmentDiagnose failures to mechanical equipment and make repairsRebuild mechanical equipmentFabricate sheet metal.Compile and complete paperwork relative to repairs to include but not limited to work orders, time cards, and job cardsPerform all work within safety guidelines established by local, state, and federal agencies as well as company policiesRespond to calls after hours and on weekends to repair mechanical equipment failuresPerform other tasks assigned task as assignedMinimum EducationHigh School or equivalentAdvanced electrical training preferredExperience RequirementsValid state drivers licenseSatisfactory DOT drug test and physicalD - 1 year,C - 2 years,B - 3 years,A - 4 years,SR
5 yearsEnvironmental Factors and Physical RequirementsAble to move freely throughout the AgriBusiness facilities to include climbing vertical heights (0 - 150')climbing vertical ladders, carrying tools and equipment (0-100 pounds)exposure to extreme temperatures (0-100 Degrees Fahrenheit), humidity, (0 - 100%), noise (50db to 100db) and chemicals (MSDS sheets available)Must be able to wear protective equipment to include self-contained breathing apparatus.
