Our client, an industry leading paper producer, is seeking a Sr. Controls Technician to join their team in their Richmond, VA location. In this role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting control systems and PLCs, in addition to various electrical systems. If you have applicable experience, you are encouraged to apply! Job Title: Sr. Controls Technician Location: Richmond, VA Pay Range: $32 - $37/hourly What's the Job?

• Effectively troubleshoot and repair facility and production mechanical equipment on a daily basis
• Effectively troubleshoot, repair, and install electrical control systems and PLCs
• Install new electrical service
• Install new or rebuilt machine parts
• Rebuild failed components
• Support installation of new systems and equipment
• Read and understand drawings, diagrams, schematics, OEM Manuals, and other manufacturer specifications What's Needed?
  • Strong electrical and mechanical experience with an emphasis on electrical skills
  • Advanced computer skills with an emphasis on PLCs and computer software
  • Read and understand drawings, diagrams, schematics, OEM Manuals, and other manufacturer specifications
  • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
  • Proficiency with machine controls and/or 3 phase power systems a plus
