)DescriptionReporting to the Director of Data Science at Children's
National Hospital Foundation (CNHF), the Analyst serves as an
integral team member in supporting all CNHF operations and
fundraising teams.
Analysts are responsible for:
--- Developing in-depth knowledge of each team's objectives in
order to facilitate helpful analysis and maintain data quality and
integrity.
--- Identifying, acquiring, synthesizing and analyzing relevant
data for reporting based on business needs.
--- Diagnosing and remediating data quality issues and providing
timely reports on the status of those issues.
--- Providing data-driven insights to CNHF leadership to drive the
Foundation's growth.
QualificationsMinimum Education
Bachelor's Degree (Required)Education in Hospital Administration,
Public Administration, Data Analytics, Management Information
Systems, Computer Science,
Engineering or related field (preferred)
Background in Data Science a plus. (preferred)
Minimum Work Experience
4 years in non-profit administration or in data analytics and IT
work experience. (Required)Experience in fundraising analytics is a
plus. (preferred)
Required Skills/Knowledge
Detail orientated with strong organizational skills and excellent
communication (written and spoken).
Able to work in a team as well as independently and adapt quickly
to dynamic tasks and deadlines resulting from new or changing
priorities.
Diligence providing quality assurance on one's own work and
effective communication skills to provide status and escalate
priority issues to leadership.
Able to think logically through data quality issues and drive
resolution.
Can design and implement complex data models to facilitate
analysis.
Functional Accountabilities
Data Systems & Science
- Identify opportunities in the use of fundraising technology and
decision-support tools to improve operating efficiency and
performance.
- Ensure the availability and quality of data to support senior
leadership decision-making.
- Remain abreast of emerging technologies to be assimilated,
integrated and introduced within the corporation, which will
positively impact the Foundation's operations and performance.
- Design and execute the development of analytic solutions using
a range of methods and tools as appropriate for fundraising team
needs and business growth.
- Train operations and fundraising users on how to best leverage
dashboards, analytics and reports.Data Integrity
- Experience using fundraising or CRM platforms such as Blackbaud
(Raiser's Edge or Luminate), ImportOMatic, or other relevant
technologies.
- Conduct regular assessments of data to identify gaps and
opportunities.
- Adhere to data governance standards.
- Maintain and update data governance and quality documentation
as needed.
- Manage workstreams in a complex environment and use in-depth
innovative data solutions for fundraising efforts.Training and
Technical Support
- Maintains documentation relating to data management including
training guides, report specifications, and data dictionaries.
- Assists in maintaining the flow of accurate data sets to
various tools that allow stakeholder access to information in a
self-service manner and trains senior leaders and management on the
effective use of such tools.
- May control and grant access to database and/or standard
reports.
