ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The ideal candidate is a competitive self-starter that thrives in a fast-paced, technical environment. You must be comfortable:Providing outstanding service to customers and supporting outside sales staff within an assigned territory; Effectively responding to customer's technical inquiries on products or systems and obtain applicable information to select the correct product needed to meet the customer's application and design prerequisites;Conferring with other team members or manufacturers to resolve unusual or complex technical problems or refer highly complex problems to an Applications Specialist or Manager;Supplying detailed product quotations by computing price, discount and shipping charges;Keeping customer well informed of pricing, back orders, delivery, delayed shipments and/or any other matters related to the order process and provide tracking information;Obtaining purchase order number and/or credit card information from customer;Attending sales meetings or educational activities to stay up-to-date on the latest technical developments with the products;And more!
Required Education and ExperienceAssociate's Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or two to four years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Working knowledge of electrical, pneumatics, mechanical assemblies, gauges, valves, instrumentation, and/or a very strong mechanical aptitude;Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical drawings, schematics, technical procedures and write general business correspondence; Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, commissions, proportions and percentages and the ability to convert standard measurement to metric;Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, etc.), Profit 21;Excellent written and verbal communication skills;Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize work.Detail oriented.
Work Authorization/Security ClearanceMust be authorized to work in the United States without restriction for an indefinite period of time.
