Northern Mariana Islands. 96952 Position Type : Full-Time Summary :
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Archaeological
Project Manager to oversee and lead our archaeological monitoring
and discovery projects. The successful candidate will be
responsible for managing all aspects of archaeological projects,
from initial planning to final reporting, ensuring that projects
are executed efficiently, safely, and meet the highest quality
standards. The Project Manager will also play a critical role in
liaising with clients, field teams, and regulatory authorities. Key
Responsibilities : WORK ELEMENT 1: Project Management, including
weekly updates Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and
resources. Communicate regularly with clients, providing weekly
updates on project progress. Ensure adherence to project timelines
and budget constraints. Lead project kick-off meetings and regular
team meetings. Implement a quality assurance plan to maintain
high-quality project outcomes. WORK ELEMENT 2: Compose
Archaeological Monitoring and Discovery Plan & Site Safety and
Health Plan (draft, revised draft, and final versions); Attend
Pre-Field Meetings, Give Archaeological Monitoring brief to
operators Prepare comprehensive Archaeological Monitoring and
Discovery Plans. Develop Site Safety and Health Plans, prioritizing
safety for all project personnel. Participate in pre-field meetings
and brief field operators on archaeological monitoring protocols.
WORK ELEMENT 3: Conduct Archaeological Monitoring Fieldwork and
End-of-Fieldwork Letter (draft, revised draft and final versions)
Oversee and actively participate in archaeological fieldwork
activities. Ensure proper documentation and recording of
archaeological findings. Prepare End-of-Fieldwork Letters,
including drafts, revisions, and final versions. WORK ELEMENT 4:
Post-Fieldwork (laboratory processing and analysis) Oversee the
transportation and processing of archaeological artifacts.
Coordinate with laboratory staff to ensure accurate analysis and
documentation. Maintain strict data integrity and confidentiality.
WORK ELEMENT 5: Reports (draft, revised draft, and final versions)
and Other Deliverables (draft and final GIS data, updated
archaeological site map) Prepare comprehensive archaeological
reports, including drafts, revisions, and final versions. Ensure
the timely delivery of all project deliverables. Update and manage
GIS data and archaeological site maps. Qualifications : A minimum
of a Bachelor's degree in Archaeology or a related field; Master's
degree preferred. 1 year experience in archaeological project
management. Strong knowledge of archaeological fieldwork techniques
and best practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal
skills. Proficiency in project management software and GIS tools.
Familiarity with relevant federal, state, and local regulations and
compliance requirements. Ability to lead and motivate field teams
and ensure adherence to safety protocols. Strong organizational and
