Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, Virginia is hiring a Clinical
Nurse Specialist (CNS) to drive nursing practice outcomes for the
team! Shift: PT (20hrs) - Days Relocation Assistance available for
Qualified Candidates! The Clinical Nurse Specialist demonstrates
advanced and specialized clinical knowledge and skills to
facilitate the provision of patient/family-focused care to promote
health and/or well-being improve quality of life; drive practice
changes throughout the organization and ensure use of
evidence-based care to improve patient outcomes. This individual
provides expertise and support either directly or indirectly by
influencing patients/families, nurses/nursing practice, and
organization/systems through direct care, leadership, coaching,
research, ethical decision making, collaboration, and consultation.
Certification: RN license VA or compact/multi state eligible. Must
be certified in specialty area deemed eligible for CNS as
recognized by State Boards of Nursing. CNS registration with
Virginia or North Carolina Board of Nursing required. Advanced
Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required for Intermediate Care and
Critical Care. Experience: 2 years of Nursing experience, recent
experience in a hospital setting required . Experience with adult
population required. Experience implementing and evaluating
evidence-based practices, educating staff, leading practice changes
and working with interdisciplinary teams to improve care. Keywords:
