Job Description:
Your OpportunityThe Human Resources Admin Assistant provides
clerical assistance to Human Resources Department. Keeps track of
departmental activities. Performs on-boarding duties for new
employees. Maintain employee personnel files. Core
Responsibilities
Assists in new hire process to include keying requisitions, data
entry, contacting applicants.
Records and maintains applicant files and database.
Assists with orientation.
Data entry for training data.
Provides backup for receptionist.
Codes all Department invoices.
Enters pertinent data in to the HRIS.
Helps maintain employee personnel and medical files.
Maintains complete confidentiality.
Aids in immigration upkeep and issues.
Responsible for complying with all environmental laws and
procedures to which Smithfield Foods subscribes.
Follows all Biosecurity Policies and Procedures.
Reads and understands the company's emergency notification process
and will be responsible for reviewing that policy at their work
sites.

High School Degree/GED required.
Associate Degree preferred.
Must have excellent computer skills and be proficient in Excel,
Word (Microsoft Office)
Previous HR experience preferred.
Ability to clearly communicate orally and in writing.
Ability to handle confidential information and attention to detail
are essential requirements.
Bilingual skills a plus
Must be able to multi-task in a busy environment and have excellent
organizational skills.
Strong record keeping skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
Current NC driver's license and acceptable driving record
required
Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic
environment.
Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while
building strong working relationships and a positive work
environment.
